Today I found out that the application I turned in to Weston Pontiac well over a month and a half ago was lost by one of the ladies in the office... *runs out and builds a fence then smashes it with a sledge hammer*... sooooooooo I've been waiting for nothing. In the meantime four other Andrew's have applied for the job, and I'm pretty much in the end of the line for a job. All I could do about it is fill out another application and hand it to the detailing manager so that if the people in the office somehow lose it again, he can yell at them for their "hard work" losing things, and not me.
In the lasty two weeks I've filled out applications to Hollywood Video, Best Buy, and Office Depot. They all say they'll call you back in a few days, but none so far, which is quite a pain. I also found out today that next summer right after I graduate I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled... I'll be asleep, but that doesn't help the fact that I'll feel it for a few weeks afterword.
To make things better, I found out last night while doing the weekly defrags, program deletions and manual spyware removals on my "dad's" computers that two of the three would play lineage, one would even play it on the high graphics setting if it only had a new graphics card and a new dvd player just because the old one burned out while the "computer technician" who is payed over one hundred dollars an hour for his services "upgraded" the memory and added a networking card.
My dads reason for no games "they're my computers","games only make the computers crash", "I had to buy my first computer, so you have to buy one to play games", and the most often used "because I said so". Over ninety percent of the time the computers aren't used for anything but simple web browsing or actual important things such as bills or homework. The leaves a ton of time, and a huge waste of technology. My 70 year old grandpa uses his computer more than both my parents combined, whether it be for research or sending emails to family members.
It's annoying, because supposedly I can get a computer on credit (worst idea ever) once I get a job, and I have to pay for every last component and program on it so that I can play one single game... ONE FUCKING AWESOME GAME!!!!!
Lineage 2, the game that everyone around, and one person in Texas has. I don't get whats wrong with getting to play it, it doesn't take up too much memory, I'm the one paying for it, and theres a laptop that could play it thats been sitting in it's case for two years now. TWO YEARS, that's longer than the lifespan of most insects, millions of people have died in that time span, and yet it's sat, less useful than a rock becasue the most accomplishing act thats been performed on it is being infected with enought trojans to have it wipped not once, but two times.
Yet here I sit, at this old battered desk that has been battered since the day it was assembled because of someone's total lack of assembling anything remotely complex. My summers consisted of work, paying an unreasonable amount for insurance on a car I rarely drive due to the cost of gas, hanging out with friends (definitely the highlight of my summer) and sitting, searching the internet for jobs and computers that I will never be able to get because of the lack of said jobs.
I know I'm complaining a ton, and I probably shouldn't, but when I lose a job to multiple highschool dropouts because of un-organized secretaries, not get a job no matter how good I work because I cost more to hire than illegal immigrants *pisses me off the most* who now practically have more rights than me because they're the first to get hired, people feel bad for them even though they should be deported back to the corrupted country that THEY corrupted and caused to fall into a horrible mess, when they eventually get citizenship (they always seem to) they get federal checks for...existing? And scholarships for being a different color? WTF? That's racism!
Sorry for going on a tangent, life seems like a waste when everything is upside-down and someone that strives on blood, sweat, and tears is stuck doing nothing. Eh... I'm bored now, so I'll probably eat and find some random thing to do that doesn't involve a game....at least now some thoughts are recorded, and not just stuck in my head smashing together because of being too crowded...
If anyone is reading this, we should do something soon, because the summers wasting away... oh, and any ideas where I could find some work?
at least my toe is finally getting back to "relatively normal and not so horrendously disfigured and bruised"
